Students did 'Vrikshbandhan' in school today, giving the trees a promise to save them, in school's Science Park.
How do we protect a tree
1. By not cutting
2. Recycling leaves and flowers
3. Not writing on the bark of the tree
4. Reminding ourselves of all the things we get from the tree
5. Tying the knot and with it creating a bond with the tree.
The day marks freedom of India from the British rule after the long freedom struggle. We need to realise it's importance and remember the sacrifices of those who died for the cause of our nation.
Flying kites is a ritual that we have been following for all these years as it signifies the freedom to move in the sky as per your wish.
