Class 7 English Week Activity - Literary Circles
Students of class VII - A participated in a group activity where they sat in 5 circles, with one representative from every group in every circle. A reading comprehension passage was given to every group with MCQs based upon it. The group member in circle 1 had to attempt first 2 questions and pass the sheet to the second member of their group in the second circle and so on. The group that answers all questions correctly first and submits to the teacher, stood first.
Students enjoyed the activity and learnt how to quickly comprehend the passages given. They also learnt Teamwork.
Class VI - A - Activity - Sonneteers (English Week)
As a part of the English week celebration, Sonneteers activity was conducted in class VI - A. Keeping a parallel with Shakespeare's sonnets, as per Shakespeare's death anniversary, students were taught the structure of a sonnet and were introduced to a few famous sonnets. Later, the class was divided into groups of 5. Each group composed a sonnet on one of the topics that they can find within the classroom, sketch a picture related to it and recite the sonnet to their classmates.
Class VI Activity - Debate cum Elocution (English Week)
A debate cum elocution was conducted in class VI - A in which students chose a topic of their choice from the 4 topics that were given to them and then spoke on it for 2 minutes, explaining their version of it. The activity was designed at building confidence in students and aimed at making them reflective.
