Kuk Du to Write!

Dear children, here's a wonderful opportunity to express and showcase your idea in the form of a story/poem. Make the most of your vacation and your potential. Good luck to all!
Rules:
Entries should be original. Plagiarised or copied entries will be disqualified.
One entry is allowed per child
The story or poem must be neatly typed in Word Doc
         Font: Times New Roman / Font Size: 12
Write Name, Date of Birth, Full Address and Contact Details at the top of the entry.
Entries will be selected by Manmeet Narang, Author and Founder of Sailing Leaf.
Selected entries will be published on our website www.kukdukoolitfest.com
Give away for all participants at the Kukdukoo Lit Fest on 2nd-3rd February 2019.
Guidelines:
Interpret the prompt the way you want. You can write either a story or a poem.
Entries should be in English.
Entries will be selected on the basis of originality and creativity.
Slight grammatical errors here and there will be ignored. It is important children freely express their ideas and      thoughts.
Children must write on their own, without assistance from any adult. You can take feedback from someone but execute the story yourself.

Class 7 activity: The Seven Ages

All the students were divided into 5 groups and each group was assigned an age as per the ages they read in the poem 'The Seven Ages' and all the groups enacted that particular age and spoke about its characteristics, explaining the lines from the text as well.















Class 6 Activity : Design the best place to hide your treasure

All the students were divided into 5 groups. Each group was given white sheet on which they had to design a secret and safe place to hide their treasure. Also, every group had to justify their choice of the place for hiding treasure. Students came up with astonishing ideas for hiding treasure and very creatively put it on paper. Some used tea bags to give the desired effect while some trusted their pair of scissors to make it look really ancient. Safe places varied from volcanoes to underwater and many more.














Class 8 Activity : Make a comic strip

Students of class 8 were divided into 5 groups and each group had to prepare a comic strip and also explain it to the classmates, based upon the story read from unit Sports of the reader book. Some students drew well and some gave impressive explanations. All in all, it was a learning experience, focusing more on the comprehension skills of the students.

Visit to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara

Keeping in mind the need of knowing religious values and imbibing them in everyday life, a visit to the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara was organised for the students on 06.12.18. Students cherished being them and carried with them the spirit of sewa and the value of sacrifices.
